I purchased 2 VoodooPC's (1 Notebook and 1 Desktop)
Were they worth it for the price? They are really nothing special...I don't really game!

I'm not what one would call a "veteran" around here, so I can't flame you or anything, so I'll try to be as constructive as I can.
You just dished out a crapload of money for two TOP of the line computers. They are not only for gaming; if you are involved in heavy 3d rendering, a lot of simultaneous photoshopping, or too much video editing and compiling, they would suit your needs perfectly.
These two configurations are VERY special: they have the (almost) most extreme components available. There's a bit of an issue here: if you don't need them, why didn't you do your homework beforehand and not spend the money in the first place?
It's your choice, your money, and if you don't need them, go ahead and ship them back. I'm not familiar with Voodoo's return policy, but I hope for your sake (from the sittuation that I understand) that it is very liberal.
Just my 2 cents. -

Yeah - if you don't game, then they are a big waste..I'd return them as well.
What do you do with your computers - as in, applications?
BTW that desktop is the most awesome piece of machinery I've ever seen... -
I think ... is trying to have a little fun at our expense. I don't believe he's a gamer, I don't believe he does any 3D work, Photoshopping, or video editing, and I don't believe he bought those obscenely overpriced machines.
-
Yeah, he might have, but it would have been like $10000!!!! I would never spend more then $3500 on a computer(even though i came close hahahaha, that Qosmio was expensive with tax and all..cough.....$3400...cough..cough, haha, but then we had like $800 rebates to mail in so it wasnt too bad)
I would send those suckers back if your not gaming! No offense at all, but unless you use it for stuff mentioned above, that was a tremendous waste of money! Did you even think about what you wanted or just bought the most expensive you could find haha? -
I find it hard to believe that someone spent that much $$$ on something that he never researched or even knows if he needs in the first place.
Just like buying a couple of Ferraris and parking them in an under ground garage! -
/me got pwned on this one.
I totally agree with you. -
I just bought a Hummer H1 and a Maserati. Did I pay too much for these two machines? I don't drive...

Well, if ... did just post this to have fun, it is not appreciated. Let's keep this under control.
Was what I bought worth it?
