    Hi,
My searching has told me that I probably already know the answer, but I thought I'd ask anyway:

Has anyone gotten the webcam on their HEL80 to work with a linux distro?

Has anyone used ndiswrappers or another driver wrapper successfully? I don't know much about them, so maybe this is an illogical question.

    Thanks for your reply.

    -Drew

PS - If this should go in "Linux" forum, please let me know.

Could you find out what the webcam's vendor ID and model is? Output from lshwd and lsdev might help, but I'm not too positive.

I think this thread belongs more in the Linux section, but we should leave that to the mods. They can move it if they believe it's proper.

P.S. Please post lsusb output as well.

Like I've mentioned, these drivers work flawlessly with H/EL80. Also, whatever Microdia is claimed to be supported, however I've only tested with H/EL80 (obviously, with success - I'd not mention this otherwise).

Tested with cheese and tested with Skype and Ekiga.

Tho, like I said, anything popping up as Microdia is meant to work (that's the aim of the developers).
