So...I ordered a highly customized Compal IFL90 on July 8th with WXGA+, and doubting its arrival by August 17th, I was planning to cancel. I canceled over the phone, but in e-mail, I told them to reverse the decision. I decided to instead not cancel, but switch the Compal order to an Asus G1S at xoticpc soon.

Somehow, I come home today late at night to find a box in my living room. I open it up and it's the Compal IFL90...of course, I'm excited, but it doesn't make any sense. I open the laptop to discover that the screen is glossy (thought it would be matte), and that there is no integrated fingerprint reader. Since I don't have any OS installed, I can't know what other specifications stray from the details of my purchase.

I want to return the laptop, but I kept telling my dad it was impossible to have gotten it this soon and he says "If I knew you would get your laptop after a month of the purchase, I wouldn't let you buy it." I know my dad, and I know if I complain about this laptop (which I should cause maybe there are other things wrong with it), it's going to be returned and he's never doing business again with xoticpc, which means I won't be able to get my Asus.

There seems to have been a miscommunication somewhere down the line...I paid for an integrated fingerprint reader, I feel like I deserve it. I also should not have to spend money to ship-return this Compal IFL90. I'd rather not to have gotten it and canceled my order then for this confusing mess to fall in my lap...do I ever get a break?

EDIT: Just realized that I have been delivered an FL90 instead of an IFL90...what do I do?

Contact them to see what options there are to solve this. If you paid for the G1s, then you should be getting the G1s.

However, if you want the IFL90, or in your case, the FL90, then ask for a refund(Assuming the G1s costed more). Either way, communication with the dealer is the best option right now. I'm pretty sure if you contact Justin at XoticPC, it'll get resolved.
