I again got my notebook back from the repair center (long and horrible story, DO NOT buy averatec) and NOW after it got 'fixed', it makes a really weird humming sound....it sounds LIKE its a bad berring in the fan, but its not the fan, i don't know where the sound is comming from...maybe the speakers but i'm not sure...the humming only happens when text is first displayed on the screen and ANY time 3D objects (like a video game) is displayed...any thoughts on this? as i refuse to send my laptop to them again.
    Thanks,
    Wolfskin

I think you are refering to the high frequency buzz you can hear most of the time when you are on battery power.

Actually I don't know what is the issue, but I think it's coming from the power regulation used by the battery. I generally can hear it very well when the processor is very active.

I tried to address the issue, but couldn't find any fix other than running on AC power and rebooting the computer (go hibernate, and come back to original state). I'm saying powering off the computer, because if I'm running on battery power and then I switch to AC, sometimes the buzz continues. A reboot fixes the problem.

    Hope that helps
