from what i hear, a lot of people are only getting vista drivers with their ifl90s, that's why i want to download these as well. it looks like i should download 1chip, 2vnvi, 3audio, 4Tp, 5LAN, 6WL, 7Mod, 11Fin, and 12CAM.

i'm not sure if i should also download 2Vintel, 10TPM, and 8CR. also, do i need bios drivers or anything from the green rows?

the 2Vintel would be for the integrated intel graphics card, so no you don't need that. 8CR is for the card reader so you'll probably want that... i don't know what 10TPM is. As for the green rows I have no idea I think those are just applications

TPM is the trusted platform module which is pretty worthless unless you're part of a business, and even then... I'd recommend you just disable it within your BIOS and not install the driver.

The green rows just seem to be Compal specific applications. They are (based on the file names):

1WSS - Wireless Select Switch - Software that lets you choose whether to have bluetooth or WiFi on (just use your hardware switch and such)

2SBatt - Smart Battery - Probably something that monitors your battery's charge (just use Windows built-in monitoring)

3SWD - Smart WatchDog - there was this for the HEL80 too; I believe it's just something to monitor random aspects like temps and battery... (better to just use one of many programs like notebook hardware control and so on)

4SMtg - Smart Meeting - Don't know, maybe some kind of note taker or calender? (probably not needed; edit:does not support XP anyways according to the pdf)

5STrace - Smart Tracing - no idea (probably not needed; edit:does not support XP anyways according to the pdf)

6WOWva - probably controls your multi-media controls that are above the keyboard (might be the only thing from that group that you'd want to install)

Edit: You don't need to download any of the BIOS files (the BIOS doesn't need a driver). Those are just there if you want to upgrade/downgrade it which is not recommended as long as you don't have any problems that could be related to the BIOS.
