Just as the title says, what do you guys think a used hel80 is worth ? System specs are in my signature. I'm not sure what kind of screen it is though, is there a way to check ? And it has a 80GB hard driver @ 7200 RPM

Hmmm, I think 700-800$ would be a reasonable price.

Ah, you didn't say that at the beginning. How much RAM do you have really?

    I saw that, but I haven't seen 2.5GB in a laptop, either you have 1, 2, 3 and even 4GB, but not 2.5GB.

Because BT and the WiFi card, I would say $500 - $600 (I'm assuming your laptop is 1 year old). Don't forget, 6 months later from purchase laptops loose from 20 to 30% value.

No, lol, i upgraded the ram myself. It has 2.5 gigs of ram. And i still feel this laptop is worth $700-800.

Yeah a discrete card as in a dedicated video card

I think $700 is a reasonable price. You MIGHT be able to get away with a lil more than that

I still want to go back to the 2.5GB of memory. Exactly what size SODIMMS do you have in each slot?

    Am I correct that it is 1x2GB + 1x512MB ??

    What warranty is left...if any?

Yes, its 1x2 and 1x512. It came with 2x512, and i swapped out one of the 512 sticks.

I'm not sure if there is any warranty left, i don't remember how long the warranty was. There might not be one. It was bought from ibuypower.com

Then it should be worth about 60% of whatever you paid for it, assuming it is no more than about 1 year old, and it is in excellent condition.

It is in great condition. A few scratches on the top, but that's about it. The screen is in great condition and the keypad works great.

You should list it in the Buy, Sell, Trade section of this Forum

You can also list it in the For Sale section of the PowerNotebooksForums.com forum (once it gets back up tomorrow...we hope :)).

    I didn't realize PowerNotebooks had a forum...

60% of original cost? Really? What if it's more than a year old?

And no, i didn't post it at powernotebooks yet. I will soon enough though.
