    I was looking around websites for the cheapest Compal HEL80/EL80 backbone(WSXGA+) to replace my old slow notebook. So far, I only found one place with the price $789.

    Specification is :

    Compal EL80 Notebook Computer, 15.4" WSXGA+

    15.4" Wide WSXGA+ (1680x1050), "Glare" type screen.
    Support Intel Core Duo CPU, 533Mhz FSB
    nVidia GeForce Go 7600 256MB Video
    Intel Interchangeability Initiative

    Are there some other places selling this notebook with cheaper prices?

    Thanks for reminding me the reseller list, however, I looked through all the resellers in USA. They did not have or sell Compal HEL80 backbone with 15.4" WSXGA Screen (1680x1050).

    I do not want to buy a new core duo cpu. So, I will used a used one and replace it with merom cpu in September. I am not sure when Asus z96j will come to USA.
