Why would you buy a Celeron? Anyways, the current ones are socket P, the older ones are socket M.

I don't chase the hardware but do chase the bang for the buck. I play mostly older then 3 years old games so don't need much. I could use the Intel part number though please?

Celeron is a brand. It doesn't have a part number.

I believe the Celeron 500(65nm) series will work.

Look for the Mobile Celeron 530, Mobile Celeron 540, Mobile Celeron 540.

A search will find online stores but if you cant find any stores look in Intel's website for the Product Order Codes and search for that.

BTW, I recommend Dual core CPU.

I do realize Intel is a brand but the socket-p 530 celeron must have a part number to seperate it form the M series, I ordered one from a vendor and was told it was a socket-P, but the pins don't line up since they are moved by one down the right side, only way they line up is if the cpu is face up.

Yes, there are two variants for the 530-one socket P and one Socket M.
    (Wiki link).

espec number(SLA2G) is Socket P so the part number should be these:
    according to intels website

Kdawgca Thank You! so much, the tech guy where I ordered from was so confused and out of his relm it wasn't funny. The website showed 2 cpu's but didn't list what was M or P, just Intel numbers. And tech was no help when he couldn't tell me which one was P. ktrones
