LG 4080N and NEC 7540A / 7543A are very good options for a slim burner.

Almost every slim drive will fit on HGL30.

I am bad at searching on google, where could I purchase these drive? I am leaning more toward the sony one on newegg. If I were to purchase either drive - How do I install the drive onto my notebook. Do I just swap and forget or do I need to install/uninstall the driver? Thanks.

Best place for stuff like that would be either powernotebooks.com or www.xoticpc.com. I remember Donald saying they sold slim drives... I think Justin said he does too.

There are many stores out there that sell slim drives, just keep googling and you'll find one.
