Why are Compal and Sager so under-represented in the Notebook Database tab of Notebookreview? Seems like every other notebook manufacturer has several machines under review - so why the slight. Inquiring minds want to know.

that would be nice to see people actually do reviews of those laptops.........seeing as how so many actually recommend them as the number one option for gaming on here

fisherdmin - it's your turn to make the review. Didn't you get the memo?

What? Did you expect them to write themselves? Get to it!

I think it is because Compal laptops are just Dells and Compaqs and HPs and such but rebranded under a different name.

Not quite. Compal does make laptops for the mainstream marketers, but their barebones machines are very different - with higher build quality, specs, and usually, lower prices.

It's a $$$ issue. The only lappies I buy are for my clients and I just set them up (see my sig for MY rig). If you've a few bucks to throw my way, I'll create a fund to buy a new Compal to review ;)

If you fund the fund, I'll gladly review it for you.

It's the other way around; Dells and HPs are based off of the design from ODMs.
