...dust. My screen gets so dirty, it's so staticy and attracts dust like it's its job. I've never had a computer screen as bad as this. Any way to discharge the static safely? Also, anyone else have this problem.

there used to be a product called "Enddust for electronics" that I loved, but I've not seen it in years. Was perfect for spraying computer screens and televisions. Maybe you can find that where you are? Or find something that has replaced it.

My screen does that too. I'd be interested in a "fix", if you will, as well. Not a big deal to me though overall, nothing a can of compressed air can't alleviate :)

Make sure you use a microfiber cloth to clean, too. I've found that's best for clearing off the dust, and I haven't had any issues with my screen attracting too much dust. It's also a little more visible because we have a glossy screen, as compared to a matte one.

    Thanks pyro.

By the way, I thought the title was clever.

I agree. After owning both a matte and glossy screen.. the glossy screen brings out everything..vibrant colors, but more reflection, making scratches, dust, wipe marks, etc alot more noticeable

I use a lens cleaning cloth (for glasses) on my screen; works great, no moisture required. Its probably microfiber I dunno.

The stuff I was talking about isn't a liquid, it's an anti static aerosol spray. You clean the surface with a microfiber cloth sprayed with the aerosol, then you spray the clean surface again as needed to keep it from holding dust from static. Used to make a huge difference when I lived on a white gravel road in Oklahoma.
