    do you guys know how much it costs to ship a widowpc laptop to canada? how much are the duties and taxes? and when you place your order, will they call you to confirm it? and will they call you at all if a problem arises? thanks

    I am not sure pricing on shipping but Widow PC may attempt to work with you if you need the shipping decreased (in price) if you order vs. not order due to shipping. They will call, but it is best to call them and order, Joshua or Adam should take your order, they will answer all your questions and assist you. I always call them and check things which moves things quickly. They will really work with you and if you are not happy tell them if something bothers you and they, believe it or not, will attempt to make you happy, but you should always tell them if you are unhappy, this I found helped..with anything!! My Widow lappy-Fx-60, 2 gb ram, 2 100gb 7200, 7800 gtx, and it rocks!!! I have left this thing on for 2 days straight no problems with heating etc. Thus far Widow has really made me happy!! Hope this helps.

    thanks for the reply, they emailed me saying that it will cost $172 and that I should call Canada customs for the duties and taxes

    FYI they have coupons for 150.00, I think I still have the code. You can also say you are student (on the web page), and they do not ask for proof. This would equal the cost of shipping. They have you complete the form online while talking with sales. Also if you tell them you even had a coupon code from PC gamer they would let it by. This would at least cover shipping. So far my machine I am typing on is great!!! I could not be happier, Joshua will work with you one way or another. I almost hope they screw something up because then they really overcompensate etc.!! They really do have fanatical support, I feel like a spokesman, anyway there are ways to acquire discounts to make up for the shipping if interested.

    Just a warning for customs, most likely, they'll hit you, in most cases, hard too.

    If possible, if you have an Amerifriend/relative, ship it to them and you pick it up.

    Either way, there will always be a handling fee when something crosses the border with UPS/FedEx. Or at least I've been hit by one :(

    yes customs will hit you hard on the price... very hard likely with GST, fees to collect the GST, and duty...
