It is like this at all times, in Vista, when it boots, BIOS 1.13, I've got no idea what to do
-
Okay more info: My friends got a DX error in Vistax64 Ultimate so he tried to log out and log in to try and fix it, but it stuck when logging out so he pushed the power button to reboot and it was like this upon boot, that is all that happen (I was watching myself), now he have 6 small screens on the computer, even in BIOS options, what the heck is wrong?!
-
It seems that that the LOGO get called 6 times and there is a shift on the display array, this is purely a code glitch.
If it doesn't affect the booting process and the function of your lap, I would say just ignore it, but if it does affect the lap then I would go back to the previous BIOS or try another more recent version. -
The BIOS is factory flashed, never had it with mine (1.12 though), it affects the lap quite a bit (Read it is ****ing useless as it is now) since it is there all the time, when booting, in BIOS everywhere, in Vista too, putting an external screen to the laptop works, but he can't use dual screen, the laptop display turns black.

Yeah, you really have a problem, why don't you just send it back?

How about calling your vendor's tech support for help?
-
Or try resetting the lcd cable that's under the power button plate.
-
Unless we can fix it on our own without voiding the warranty he'll turn it in to the retailer (Zepto) -
http://www.asimobile.com/notebook_files/fl90/IFL90_ch5-Disassembly Guide-intel.pdf page 13, first picture, you don't need to remove the keyboard. See attached picture(bluriness due to crappy phone camera).
-
-
Did you fix the issue?
-
I would like to know that too... But since he didn't come back I'll suppose he did...
-
Or he just got discouraged.
-
Yep it's good to know for the KB and for the people how read the posts.

I am the original owner of the f***d up computer.
I send it in to zepto and after one month they said that there are some sort of liquid in my computer which sounds like a piece of bulls*** to me because I have not had liquid even near my computer.
Thread about it
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=245013 -
That's interesting, not long time ago there was another person that experienced the same, and he claims that is a common trick used by OEM's to avoid the expense to fix their sold products.
We should build a db with these cases for future reference in case it happens to us. -

Your inability to express yourself without using gutter language, both here and in the thread to which you link, weakens your credibility.
You now have pictures that you agree clearly show a liquid spill, but now you try to defend saying that Zepto is sending you pictures of a computer that is not yours.
It is beyond belief that a credible and highly regarded company like Zepto would falsify the evidence of what they found in your computer. -
Good point, we should have the pictures posted to get a neutral perception of the situation.
However I will warn that this forum is not setup for solving these type of issues, it's better to get it resolved directly with the OEM.
No matter what it will be said here, it won't affect zepto decision.
Nevertheless, Donald you are an expert in this, can a liquid really do what is doing to this laptop? To display the logo 4 times in the same screen? -

Another thing to think about is why would a credible and highly regarded company randomly select someone's laptop and make up a claim that there is a liquid spill.
That would almost have to suppose that they never replace a motherboard under warranty, and have a standard set of pictures that they send to anyone whose motherboard fails. That is pretty easy to prove as untrue.
The OEM (Zepto in this case) isn't the final warrantor...the ODM (Compal in this case) is. So why would Zepto make a false claim that they discovered a liquid spill when all they have to do is send the failed motherboard back to Compal for replacement?
The only reason any OEM shows the pictures of a liquid spill in someone's laptop is because IT IS THERE, and therefore they cannot return it to the ODM for replacement. -
Probably someone else spilled something on my computer (that i didnt know and it didnt affect mu computer at all, then montsh later) zepto support voids my warranty and wants me to pay.
And did you know that on the reciept that wants me to pay they added a new keyboard although that the one that was alredy in it still works perfectly i mean WTF?
I will never buy stuff from zepto again. -

Viktor, it won't matter who you buy from, no one will do anything other than void your warranty once there has been a liquid spill.
Don't blame them...just take responsibility for what happened. -

better yet. liquid proof laptop. -

One of the better options for such can be found at www.safeware.com where you can buy an insurance policy that covers accidental damage, as well as theft which the computer companies do not offer with their ADP coverage. There is no deductible, and you can pay the premiums annually instead of multiple years up front. -
Wierdest FL90 problem I've ever seen
