Hi guys, sorry if this is the wrong section, all I want to know is, if I buy a BluRay combo drive for my Compal IFL90 will it work? By this I mean has my screen got the correct settings required to show the HD quality? Hope that makes sense new to this BluRay stuff.

    Thanks
    H

Hi mate, thanks for the reply. Do you know if I have got them or can you tell me where to get them? Will the picture be just the same as it would be on a HDTV?

Sorry again for the very basic questions.

Go in the device manager and double on your graphics card and go in the driver that, it will tell you if the driver has been digitally signed or not. Blu-Ray won't play if your driver is not digitally signed. The drivers that came with it should be but if you got anything from laptopvideo2go it won't be. Try getting a new non-beta driver directly from Nvidia website.
Will it look as good as watching it on a good HDTV?Nope. But it will look much better than watching a regular dvd.

By the way, many of the BluRay drives are SATA type and no longer the IDE type. You will have double check on the connector type before purchase.
