The second notebook I ever owned, back in 1998, was a WinBook. It was pretty solid. I'm not aware of any reason why they can be trusted now. They're just a small manufacturer that is not well known.

well, they've actually been around for quite a while and they are a purely U.S. based company located in the middle of Ohio. They make quality laptops, and usually have offerings that are a little different to the big guys. Their latest notebook I saw, I believe it is the W60, looks kind of like an Appple Powerbook. They were also fast to get the Dothan Pentium M into their notebooks, so they do like to keep up or stay ahead of the crowd.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them if you see something you like. -
Has anyone out there purchased one of Winbook's latest W Series notebooks (W320, W340 or W360)?
If so, can you review it please? Any concerns or worries right out of the box? Did you upgrade (extend) the warranty? Any comments on Winbook notebooks, its service or support in general?
Thanks in advance.
