    Well

I just bought a Znote 6625WD and i noticed something : when i don't use the laptop, the cpu use is about 8-12% (see the attachment). I would like to know if you are in the same case or if it's normal. (on my other pc under Windows2K the idle cpu use ise about 0%)

    More about the notebook :

I agree that 8% or more CPU utilisation when the computer is on idle is too high.

I suggest that you add the "CPU time" column to the Processes tab in Task Manager. You can then see which processes are accumulating significant CPU time.

Note that as your computer is new, the operating system may still be busy doing tasks such as indexing (unless you have disabled it).

Internet Explorer is using a lot of CPU time. Maybe you have some pages with Flash stuff on it. In my opinion, Flash is evil because it still runs in non-active tabs and when offline. I use Firefox with Flashblock to stop this.

Does your music skip/lag (sam with some videos).

Ditto and ditto. I run between 10-15% idle and this is after removing
    any normal offending programs/processes.

This also seemed to increase for me from the latest bios version, whereas
before it seemed to be around 5-8%... if memory serves.

    Thoughts welcome!

btw, Neibaf, how in the earth did you get the zepto with those specs THAT CHEAP, or is it excl VAT? If not im so getting a assistant in Paris or somewhere to buy the laptop from there omg. Got mine, specs below, for 1200€ (but on massive discount, for real it were 1400+€ (same on Zepto finnish site)

btw, how is the same 6625wd with same specs 200€ cheaper on global site than finnish? This is burglary...
