Ok, got a problem with drivers. For some reason Intel doesn't give a floppy loaded S/ATA driver for the FL91 or 90 and I can't get it installed cause XP Pro SP 2 CD won't recognize the hard drive, anyone know of a fix for this problem?

Go into BIOS and disable AHCI setting. Then run the XP install. Once install finishes, you can go back and change the AHCI to Enabled.

Thanks that did it, stupid manual should say something rather then refer to modding an XP install

I'm actually going through the XP install right now along with you. I just finished my install and went back and enabled my AHCI settings. The computer crashed with BSOD. Only way I can get it to boot into XP is to have the AHCI disabled....just wanted to give you a word of warning.

Was that after you installed your chipset drivers?

Yea, my machine has all the necessary drivers I need to use XP installed on it now. Everything is working fine except the AHCI thing. I'm going to be dual-booting with XP (for work) and Vista (for personal use)

I'm only going to be using XP for work related purposes...its just going to suck to have to make sure I catch the bios between the reboots and disable AHCI everytime I want to use it.
