Yesterday I noticed that my Wireless Select Switch application wasn't working anymore. Fn-F2 didn't do anything anymore, and the icon in the systemtray wasn't working either. So I tried reinstalling it, but now it says "You can not install this version on your system". What's that all about, I've been using this app for months now and suddenly it won't work?
-
Have you recently upgraded your BIOS or installed any new software?
-
-
Have you tried to uninstall the software, reboot, then reinstall?
-
If you have an HEL80, is the hardware switch working?
-
-
Definitely give the uninstall, reboot, reinstall method prescribed by pyro. Hopefully it's just a file that got corrupted or written over that will be fixed that way.
Good luck. -
Personally I have never installed it, I hate mostly useless stuff sitting in mem and polling.
I just use the hardware switch. -

There's a new WSS @ the Compal site ( http://www.compal.com/asp/driver_dnd/). Downloading it now.
Doesn't work either. I don't understand why it's not working. -
TC03, are you running Vista or XP?
-
XP. Tried all the different version I could find, no luck. Sweeped the registry for anything related to WSS, deleted everything, deleted Installshield cache files, but no luck. I hate, cause it decreases my battery life.

Perhaps a reinstall of XP & drivers is worth it to you at this point?
-
. And I won't have any guarantee it'll fix things indefinitely.
-
Hopefully everything is well at this point though...
