Hey all, ive been having a problem with my wireless connection on my HEL80. The 3945ABG works great, very fast usually. however, when i leave the computer on my coffee table for example and close the lid so it goes into hibernate, i am unable to use the internet after i resume later on. it says that i am connectded with an excellent connection, but then firefox, aim, nothing seems to work. the workaround i currently am using is just restarting my computer, which fixes it until i go in hibernate again.
I believe its a problem with the computer and not the router because if i let it hibernate and carry it to campus, the issue persists even from other wireless connections.
Anyone encountered or fixed this problem?

edit: i am using the latest drivers from intel

when you come back from hibernation try right clicking on your wireless connection (usually the computer monitor with the flashing green and black airwaves) and click repair. Even if it says you have a good wireless connection, it might work.

Well I was tring to have the same problem as you were discribing but I couldn't seem to produce it. I would try a couple of things. First see if the repair connection will work. If that doesn't fix the problem try pinging the default gateway.

First go to your wireless connection in network connection. Then double click the wireless connection and go to the support tab and located the IP address of the default gateway.

    start - run
    type in: cmd
then type in: ping (default gateway)

Your ping shouldn't time out and ping back with a responce.

If the ping does respond there is a software problem between your connection and firefox or aim.
If the ping doesn't respond then try and reinstall the drivers.

I've recently started to have this problem
Tried the solutions here nothing worked. The ping responded, but not sure how to proceed from here.
