Anyone else have WoW problems on their Compal? Ranging from Install to ingame crashing if you ever get it installed. For over a week i've done nothing but try to get this crap to work on my hgl-30 and no such luck. If i do get it to run, I spend about 30 mins ingame and about 2 hours repairing each crash.

I've only played a very small amount of WoW on here, but it ran fine. What do you mean by "two hours repairing each crash"?

I'm willing to be something unique and fun is wrong with your system. What sorts of crashes are they?

Yeah I was kinda vauge and had a post in graphics section, but figured this would be more appropriate.

I am getting system #132 and #131 errors or
    . Error 131

The "Error 131" error message is usually caused by corrupt game files.

    . Error 132

The Error 132 is a vague error message that is reported when something went wrong that was unexpected and not previously documented. This error can exist due to the actual code being faulty or system instability. This was the first type of error that was created when WoW was made. The other types of errors in this thread were once Error 132s before they were isolated and separated as to their individual causes.

It is important to separate an Error 132 that happens before recent patches against those that happen after.

I always constantly get Game crashes 132 which leads to the file coruption i'm guessing. I emailed powernotebooks and blizz tech support, because i've spent over 30 hours trouble shooting.

What i mean I get some play in by repairing, If i can actually get an install I can play for a little bit before the crashes start, and then I run repair util, and the files too large to patch, so I delete some stuff they recommend WTF WDB and Interface and get a little bit more play in before it starts again (of course after I spent time setting up the settings)

So sigh, I don't know I'm out of all ideas

Yes I ran memtest 86+ twice

    first test 12 passes - 0 errors

    second 14 passes - 0 errors

Find a utility called CPU Burn-in, set it to run the hardest... might also want to run chkdsk on your HD... might have some bad sectors.

Going to try the Stock Compal drivers, even though all the WoW updates say to use the very latest, and do I really want the Cpu to get as absolutly as hot as it gets on my note book?

Have you had any problems with any other programs? Particularly with installing them?

It's built to stress test your CPU and can tell you if you have bad registers... if your processor wasn't meant to be able to run at full speed, they wouldn't have sold it because it's defective.. (You will have to run that program twice, once for each core concurrently)

Once on Microsoft Office, but after I formated it installed fine.
Every other thing installed fine. I'm in the process of everyone who replys here, and I thank each and everyone of you, and googling things, and emailing tech support(s). I am going to install Quake 4 real quick and see if that works out just fine. I'm so run ragged about this I might crawl up in my bed.

Also pyro I will do the burn in testing and let you know also.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

In the meantime, you may want to send word to your reseller and see what they may have to say about it. If it ends up being a bad component, you'll already have a case started with them.

If reformatting fixed a problem, I'd more likely say try running something like chkdsk to check the HD for bad sectors.. There are probably more modern tools you could use, but if you are able to use memtest86, then I'm sure you can figure out another DOS based tool ;)
