Hi guys i recently bought this laptop and it arrived wednesday the 20th, opened it up and was amazed at how good it looks, comes well packaged.
So first impressions were good, and so were the capabilities:

    Screen: 15.4" WSXGA+ X-Brite 1680x1050 TFT ScreenLCD
Processor: Intel P9500 Core 2 Duo Mobile 6MB Cache Dual Core Processor
    Processor Speed: 2 x 2.53GHz
    Memory: 4GB DDR2 800MHz Memory
    Memory Capacity: 8GB
Hard Drive: 200GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive (Pro version)
    Drive: DVD/RW Multi Burner
    Graphics: Nvidia 9600M GT 512MB GDDR3 Graphics

Ok so i unpacked it all and first thing u notice is the screen on back of the screen lol, its a little display on back of the main screen, here is where u can uses windows side show. This is where u can play solitare listen to music and i think u can check mail and view pictures, but i never got round to instaling those. Oh and u dont need to have ur laptop on to do any of these.

Next loaded vista from a disk i had already baught few months ago, and great thing is that novatech supplied a very easy to use drivers disk. You auto run the disk and on the menu u have sleek icons for each drover to instal, for instance an image of a webcam for the webcam drivers, and u give the icon 1 and click and away it installs. I must mention tho that to any 1 buying this laptop to instal the chip set drivers first, (thats the icon at bottom left with the intel logo on it).

So once all set up and running i decided to install my programs, i installed COD 4 and it played brilliantly, i could have COD itunes and things like msn all running at same time with a breeze. Programs loaded up in a flash, but i have not used the whole 4gig of ram to its potential as i instaled 32 bit vista which only recognises up to 3 gig, so to experiance all 4 gig you need 64 bit windows.

So thats all the good news so heres the bad:

On the 23rd (yesterday) the laptop suddenly froze, so i tryed to restart and got stuck at the vista loading screen (the screen where the bar runs across). So i try to boot it up in safe mode, and when all the codes flash down ur screen gets stuck and suming like chkdsk, i think it means hardrive check or suming like that. So i try puting in vista disk to run repair and once i select boot from hardrive in multiboot bios thing (where u press f12) all i get is black screen. So i then try booting up xp and after 2-3 mins i get a blue screen saying sum stuff and then a massive error code. Done a little research and the code ment that there was a fault with either my hard drive or my ram. So as it is bank holiday on monday they cant pick it up till the 26th which is very anoying as i am now without a laptop.

So thats why i have no pictures as its all packed away and taped up, but very good laptop and i think i was just unlucky that this happened to me and i do not think it is anything to do with a faulty batch, but i will find out soon. Do not be put of buying this laptop as it is amazing for its price compared to any other manufacture such as rock.

    P.S my first review guys

+ rep me if i helped or cleared up any of ur questions

Sounds good! Shame about the slight fault, when you get it fixed, can you post plenty of pictures, and maybe some packaging shots?

    Thanks!

    Daniel.
