Hello everyone!
A friend of mine has this XMG P707 with these specs:
500GB SSD
NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB
Intel i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz
Ram 16GB
Windows 10
The pc worked fine while playing videogames or normal load, but suddenly it started to have some problems.
If the pc is connected to the electricity, the GPU won't work. It crashes as soon as it is utilized by any program, with the error VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE. I thought it was some sort of driver problem, but after changing them countless of times I don't know where to hit my head![]()
If the pc is running only on internal battery, the GPU works fine without crashing.
I even tried running ubuntu on it, but it has the same identical problem.

How are the temps?
On battery GPU power is limited, might be over-heating and crashing.Desosx likes this. -
Temps should be OK, it has always been a quite cold pc with idle temps below 40 °C and load temps near 70 °C. The pc crashes in the exact istant the external GPU is used, so I don't think it has even the time to reach a critical temperature.
For example it happens that if I double click the NVIDIA control panel, it crashes as soon as it tries to load the program
