I am just about to order one to put Mandriva on and am expecting it to work just fine. Linux works pretty well on Laptops now, I'm writing this from an HP510 running Mandriva which is good apart from the graphics card really.
I have seen plenty of reports on the web of people putting various flavours of Linux on various Zepto laptops, so fingers crossed this model won't cause any major issues. I'll post results when I get it sorted.
All power to Zepto for not inflicting the Windows tax. -

I couldn't get the Ubuntu 7.04 live CD to install on my 6024W. Maybe the Intel 965 chipset is not fully supported yet. I'm sure there's a fix but I was just making a casual check.

Ubuntu 7.04 won't install at all on my 6625 - I tried it after having quite a few problems with Mandriva Spring (which would at least basically install).
Mandriva 2008 RC2 works a lot better, I have the nvidia drivers working and the WiFi with this beta release, but no sound and the DVD doesn't work (except for install). I would say that this machine is not really suitable for Linux as yet, which is a damn shame when it's one of the few you can buy without an OS. It does seem very fast and has a cracking screen.
I'll start a thread and explain what can and can't be done later. -
When using the Zepto 300Mbit Wirless has anyone experience any problems. Plz i need to know which to choose between intel 54Mbit and Zepto 300Mbit.
Help me !!

Turns out the DVD not working is not just in Linux - vista suffers too (I found on another thread here). Just disable the DVD in the BIOS and it works fine (sic). If you want to boot from the DVD you'll have to reenable it in the BIOS...
