Zepto 3415W - Audio question

Hi everyone (first post!)

I'm looking at investing in the 3415W especially with the deal they have on at the moment, my only question concerns the audio output of the system.

I recently bought a set of Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers, does the 3415W output audio using an optical out? I've looked around for answers to no avail thus far, if anyone could help that would be great!

I'm completely lost when it comes to audio, but I've got a 3415w and all I can find is the green "normal" audio output. But since it has 7.1 surround support there must be some way to connect those speakers..

 

check if there is a red light comming out of the audio output. if so it has optical.
And it should have to support 7.1 audio

 

If it has the 7.1 system then its optical out, I think almost all new Zeptos has the same soundcard

 

It hasnt got optical support, if it´s the model is the same as the one I bought in august. And I dont think they have done any hardware upgrades on that model. On some websites, including the Swedish Zepto website, it says that it has optical output (7.1). On other forums and websites it says that i hasnt got optical output. I mailed the Swedish support and asked, according to them the model did not have optical support, only 2.1.

To be sertain, send an email, I may be wrong informed.

 

Just to clear this up once and for all:

'Just to clarify the situation, our 6XXX models do have the optical output through the 3.5MM connection with the red light.

Our 3XXX models do not have this and just have a normal 3.5MM connection'
