    Hi!

    Just got my Zepto Znote 3415w the other day, it is amazing! So far I only have three problems;

    1 dead pixel on arrival! Tried various removal methods, I think it's permanent. It's annoying but I like my laptop so much I don't want to part with it, so I will live with it. These things happen!

    The 9 cell battery is ugly! Half of it sticks out when in the laptop -- not a big deal but the rest of the laptop is BEAUTFUL and so well made. I love it! I will perhaps buy a new battery when this one dies.

    Also, when using the Windows voice recorder or Skype/MSN, the microphones are SO quiet, even with the +dB boost enabled and the settings on high, with the latest firmware. They only seem to register when I tap around them?
    Is this normal or is my unit faulty? I can't understand why low quality mics would have been installed when the rest of the unit is superb? My friend's microphones are also the same on his 3415w.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks.

    I have the same problem just like you (only on a 6625wd)

    What helped a bit for me was to remove the drivers etc from Software manager, then remove the card from within device manager.

    After that, scan for hardware changes and choose the drivers manualy from the rar/zip downloadable from the zepto FTP.

    ANd make sure microphone boost is on, and dont let skype manage your audio settings (turn it of in settings) because it will allways lover the mic volume.

    Hoep this helps a bit, but dont expect miracles. The mic-in from zepto just might not be that good... :s
