    Is the screen matte or gloss for uk models?

    Matte. They call it UltraCrisp, but its matte.

    I'm finding it quite acceptable after using glossy displays for the past two years because it is very bright, but the matte coating slightly reduces the sharpness.

    personally I'm very impressed with the display. never had a glossy one but the res is really nice. detailed but not so you have to squint. much better than 1200*800 imo

    Yes, the 14.1" WXGA+ resolution is a good compromise and is the main reason for me getting a Zepto.

    I did find it necessary to increase the minimum font size in Firefox to 12 point since some web pages are designed with small text and big areas of small text get hard on my eyes.

    aren't they all UltraCrisp, ie a compromise between regular matte and glossy? Not true glossy?

    Mine is called ultracrisp too, a glossy one, and its really glossy (at least aside my IBM A31 matte one :D)

    UltraCrisp has nothing to do with the screen beeing matte ore glossy.
