    Hi all;
    recently I've bougth the Zepto 6625WD with Windows Vista installed. At the beggining everything was ok but then I started to have some problems with some tools I use for work (I'm a programmer) so I decided to install Windows XP. I used the CD with the drivers for XP. Now everything seems to be ok exept the sound. I do'nt even have a sound device installed and I don't know why. I've called to the Zepto technical support by phone and someone told me I have to download the drivers from the page and install them, which I did of course but I still have the same problem, the sound does'nt work!!!! Anybody can help me? Anybody has experienced the same problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

    Victoria

    Do you have this red speaker icon (Realtek) in the taskbar after a reboot neccesary for the driver?

    Iv had really big problems with getting the Realtek driver installed on my laptop, tough its on Vista.

    Try updating the driver from Realtek page and not Zepto, see if it helps:

    Oh and remember that you need to remove the wondows driver before installing the realtek, not update the existing one.

    (When you restart after uninstallation, windows will install its own drivers, wich you have to remove in device manager before installing the Realtek 1.81 driver with the installer.)

    Unfortunately there is a lot of problems with the Realtek drivers on all platforms at the moment. We are hoping for Realtek and Microsoft to have a fix out for this soon, but until then there is nothing much we can do. We've seen that every other manufacturer using the Realtek HD Audio chips are having the same issues, especially on Windows XP.

    No, I can't see this red speaker icon in my taskbar...
    On Vista is working ok but the big problem is on XP.
