Trying to repair this for a friend has resulted in a new serious problem with the charging of the battery. My original problem was the video-card not working, but I fixed this the baking way. But after assembling the machine it worked fine with the battery only. So now it is no longer able to charge the battery any more, and it is not working with the external power supply either ( witch is 100% OK).
Now the battery is empty, and the fl90 is not working any more. I do not think that i am able to repair this, obviously something on the motherboard is dead, but it should be possible to run it with a power supply connected to the battery terminals somehow. I just don't know how to connect power to this multi connector instead of the battery?

Did you let the battery in when dis/reassembly?

Did you connect the laptop to the mains for testing during reassembly (maybe with the battery in)?

Might be a fatal damage ... sorry.

    Good luck!

Not quite sure, but I do not think I did.
But please tell me, if you know how to connect a lab. power supply instead of the battery. Then it is possible to use it for something good.

    No idea, sorry.

But I know that your mainboard shows this behaviour, if you let your battery in, and connect it to the mains, while it is not fully reassembled - reason unknown, but there are a few cases documented in this forum.

You might need a new mainboard - which is not as expensive as you might think - I hear people are getting them for 20 - 30€\$ ... e.g. from dhgate.com ... never tried that myself, though.

    Good luck!
