    Hi all,

I am currently having an issue with my Zepto G14 notebook running Windows 7 64-bit which involves the sleep function. For some reason the notebook randomly wakes up when its asleep - this usually happens randomly after a few hours and there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it (i.e. no physical contact or specific time of awakening).

I have checked the Windows event list when it randomly awakes and the wake method always seem to be either "via power button" or "unknown".

I am sure that wake-on-lan settings are disabled and I don't think theres any programs or hardware that is set to waken the notebook when its asleep.

Does anyone else have this problem with their Zepto notebook and can anyone suggest a way of fixing it?

    Thanks.

Not a fix, but a suggestion: Why not use hibernation if you want to turn off the computer for some hours?

The G14 had a problem where when you press the lid around the henge right above the power button it powers on (doesn't matter if it is standby, hibernation or turned completely off).
Apparently a design flaw only on the 14" model where there are either too little space between the screen and the power button, or the power button is just hyper sensitive.

Perhaps there is some truth to this anomaly but my G14 does not have this problem. Besides, Llamaman's issues do not suggest a mechanical malfunction. What I beleive is the cause of the waking and staying awake is a hybernation error. In order to hybernate, the system (if in sleep mode) must awake before hybernating. For some reason, hybernation does not work when invoked from sleep mode. Had to set "hybernate after" to "never" in power options. Something tells me it's a Win7 bug but could be a CMOS bug? Are any other G14 owners out there having this problem?
