Good news! I just rang zepto and they told me that they were expecting the shipment of 9650GTs from Nvidia later today!!
-
That will mean lots of busy workers
-
Now we just need for them to filter down to us
-
so is the waiting list for 9650 v long now?
-
-
I wonder if zepto uk will offer any discount too. I ordered on the 22nd of August so I've had a pretty long wait. I paid up front, back then, by bank transfer, though, so it would have to be done by way of a part refund which I imagine is unlikely.
Keeping my fingers crossed though, just imagine the interest I could have earned on my £1043.27. (must be pence at least! :/) -
-
just got a mail from them saying that i'll be getting mine next week... now the bone is missing and the 9650 is in stock.. omg.........
-
good to hear people will start getting their notebooks.
Mine broke down already :/. The panel with zepto logo on it cracked. Without any violence! Just opened it one day and *CRACK*. I'm so frustrated...
-
Hmm, I am getting concerned again. After e-mailing me on the 14th oct (see post #45) and telling me that all orders were expected to be shipped by the 7th november and then my subsequent phone call a week last wednesday where I was informed that the 9650GT was coming in to stock that day. I was kind of hopeful that I may get an e-mail this week to tell me that my laptop was on it's way. But it's now Saturday the 8th November, the day after zepto expected to ship all it's orders and.... not a sausage.
-
well if they shipped it the 7th (saturday) its probably there tomorrow. There isnt such thing as insta-deliver yet
-
I know but they promised to e-mail me when they shipped and so I'm guessing that hasn't happened yet, but, what the hell, it's only been 11 and a half weeks since I ordered, what does another week matter.
I like the idea of insta-deliver though, bit like wonka-vision! -
actually i guess they having problem testing notebooks. Since 5th nov. my mythos a15 with gefoo 9650 is in "20% testing" phase :/
-
Where did you go to find out the testing status? Is it part of zepto's website or do you have to ring zepto?
-
-
from 5th nov. in 20% testing status they update it today to:"20% testing"... bah
i'm gonna write down some lines.. -
eheh ok maybe was a fault... now is on 60%.. I hope in a tomorrow delivery
edit:
and now is "in progress" :/ -
Ok, I just put my order number into the rma field on the repair page (I thought this was just for if you sent your computer back to be fixed) and it just says 'Awaiting Technician' and the date of 6/11/08. I wonder what this means, awaiting one to start building it? or one to test it? or perhaps one to send it on it's way(I hope)
-
rma is not the order number.. is another code they send you after they receive the payment. I guess you checking the rma of someone else
-
omg now they are saying it'll come next week AGAIN! this is insane.. bought a asus g2sg for 700£ or 1200 dollar.. and got it right away.. thx for making us wait 3 month for nothing zepto
-
Hmm, all I got was this e-mail
-
Since theres not really any posts but *****ing, i would like to ask any owner about their experience with temperatures on the 9600M? I'd like to know how well it does since i hate warm gpu's..
regards -
IIRC It's around 50 - 52 on 'idle' and >65 when I'm running graphical intensive games.
-
RedDK I hope you dont compare desktop cards and laptop cards. They have completely diffrent cooling possibilities
-
65 degrees is nothing, if i play let's say HL2 on my old Zepto, i get 100 degrees.
-
Do not underestimate me Sprint
..
Thanks for the answers, def gonna get me self a A15 then.. I just get flashbacks to my G1S... Once it went to like 110 Celcius while playing.. and was noisy as .. do not want -
I've been reading a bit on various forums and apparently it seems like ALOT of people are disappointed with their Zepto laptops.. Apprently they break a lot and quickly. Is this something you guys have experienced? Is it any different with the new Nexus A15?
-
-
Zepto is selling thousands of laptops, and do we have thousands of members visiting the Zepto forum? no. -
Trust me ive read a lot and ive never seen so many negative comments on a company before lol..
-
-
English please!
Want ik begrijp geen ene klote van dit gebrabbel en als we allemaal in onze moerstaal gaan ouwehoeren dan heeft dat weinig zin op dit forum.
OK? -
Yes, sorry we're done with the danish talk.
-

I notice on my Nexus that one of the hinges (left one) that hold the screen isn't flat, but about 10 degrees slanted.
I also noticed that my Power button is slightly recessed, I have to use my finger tip to press it.
Another thing is the keyboard pops out on the right hand side towards the front.
These are little design flaws that I didn't expect from Zepto, that I didn't even have on my Acer (Although the Acer was more expensive at the time of purchase). But I can live with it.
Just wondering if it is the same for everyone? -
Hi, yes my left hinge in a bit slanted, not by as much as 10 degrees it's probably less than a degree on mine. It's so slight that I only noticed it just now when I read your post. apart from that no, my keyboard and power button are absolutely fine.
I recieved my laptop last week and so far I have been really pleased with it, It runs all the games I have installed on it flawlessly, in fact much better than my desktop machine which has a 3Ghz C2Duo and an Nvidia 7950GX2 and cost me a fortune 3 years ago. Perhaps this is down to the smaller screen on the laptop 1280x800. I did initially worry that this would not give me very much space for when I am working but I have quickly got used to it and besides I can always hook it up to the monitor on my desktop if I need more space.
The only small gripes I do have are, that the exhaust fan when it comes on is quite noisy and it tends to go on and off a lot when it gets up to temperature. I installed a BIOS update which has helped a little but it still is a little annoying if you are in a quiet room. It really isn't that much of an issue though and I've kind of gotten used to it now. The other thing is that the rubbery coating is really bad for showing finger marks and they are quite hard to rub off. I must admit though I have not tried using any thing other than the sleave of my jumper to rub them off so I maybe need to use a damp cloth or something. -
You can undervolt your laptop or something.. Im gonna use NHC on my Nexus which i'll get within some days.. There i can undervolt it and make profiles for when i want it to stfu or just use dynamic so it automaticly clocks up and down depending on how much performance it wants
-
Just release the B15 already!!!
-
Well it already downclocks but you can undervolt it to go lower on normal VIDs, SLFM is already .8500V.
Id also recomend RMClock over NHC unless your on Vista x64 -
Wait, does Zepto undervolt their laptops?
-
No, you can do it yourself!
-
Phew, good thing. Almost got worried they already had. I am hoping of getting a few more minutes of battery life out with undervolting. :]
-
You will be getting quite many minutes out of properly undervolting. And thats a fact.
