I've installed windows 7 on my Nox (used to be Vista) and now it says there is a problem with the battery.

Constantly there is a little redcross at the battery logo, it can't calculate remaining battery time and says "consider changing the battery" and "the computer can be shut down at any time, because there is an issue with the battery!"

Can anybody help, no problems with the battery before windows 7 install..

Take it out and put it in again.

    Power drain?

    1) plug out AC

    2) take out Battery

    3) press and hold on to the powerbutton for about (10 ~ 20secs)

    4) Plug Battery back in

    5) Plug in Ac / Switch on Your notebook.

Hope that helps. Waiting for replies..

You need to have the laptop connected to an active power supply. When the laptop is powered on and in Windows, take the battery out (the laptop should stay powered on). But the battery back into the laptop and the indicator should be normal.

Hmm, go into Device Manager. Doubleclick "System Devices" and look for "Microsoft Windows Management Interface for ACPI". Check that the device is working properly. Also you'll want to check if any of the other devices have an "!" meaning the device isn't functioning correctly... good luck!

If you haven't done so, suggest updating all the ACPI drivers in System Devices.
