    Hello,

Can anybody get the webcam in the Zepto Nox A15 to work properly using Windows XP 32-bit? I am having difficulties getting it to work here. Sometimes it turns on for 2 sec on msn, but most of the time it is unrecognized. I apologize if it has been mentioned in the other threads, but I do not have the patience to look several 15-page threads through.

    Solution? if possible.

I had the webcam running nice and smooth with 30 fps the other day. Then i restarted the machine, and it went back to the choppy 2-4 fps playback.

I'll try to see what i can do to find out what causes it to be so slow.

Hmm, in msn it just displayed a white screen, while virtualdub even wasn't able to see the device. I gave up on Windows XP though, too many things that weren't working properly. I am installing Vista 64-bit now, so I will let you know if that fixes the cam.

Thanks for the response, bornslippy and RebDK.

Mmh in the beginning I had a the problem that the webcam freezes after some time, I thought it was just skype. I downloaded a lot of versions of Skype but nothing solved the problem. Reinstalled Windows XP, same problem, ...
Reinstalled XP again, installed only the drivers from Zepto, tested the webcam and he worked fine.. So it was nothing on the hardware of the webcam. I made an image of the clean XP and made a new image everytime after I had installed a new program, because replacing the image was faster than reinstalling XP and I could better see which program was causing the freezing of my webcam. I started with Skype, no problem, after trying some programs still no problems, ... I forgot to update my windows so I made again an image of my hard drive. I did the update and my camera freezes. I don't know exactly which number of update did the camera freeze, so if you have an old xp (mine was service pack 1) you can try that one..
maybe important: I installed first service pack 3 separated from the updates, this did not made the webcam freeze! So it's probably a little update after the release of SP3. Replaced my image, installed only SP3, and now I don't have any problem anymore..

    oh, I own a Nox A15, OS:XP 32bit
