    Hi there,

I have been advised that my Zepto 6214W will not be covered by warranty after the AC power connection was damaged through wear and tear. I believe I have a pretty strong case that the laptop should in fact be covered, especially since this is the fourth RMA I have had with this laptop. I contacted the CEO of Zepto Lasse Frost and various other people in the company with my complaint, cc'ing in the Danish Consumer Ombudsman on the email.

I have just received a reply from the Zepto Warranty Manager, Jonathon Sørensen, in which he states that since the unit was purchased via Nusystems LTD in the UK, the Danish consumer law does not apply to this case. He claims that they are only the "repair shop" and advises me to contact Nusystems with my claim. He says "We simply just figure out what is wrong with the computer, and what it costs to repair it."

Do Zepto in Denmark, the manufacturers of the laptop, bear no responsibility to me and my case? As far as I am aware, Zepto terminated their relationship with Nusystems a couple of years ago due to their poor performance. I am unable to even locate contact details for Nusystems. Does anyone have any experience either with how the consumer laws apply in this case, or with following up Zepto matters with Nusystems in the UK? I believe that even if the Danish laws don't apply in this, I am at least covered by both EU and UK consumer protection laws.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Dan
