The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    As the 2425W is a Compal Hel80 is it possible to get the WSXGA+ TFT 1680 x 1050? Other models have this screen but not the 2425W?

    Was looking to stay at <14" Compal HGL30/Asus W7J which do not appear to be available in the UK, but the spec of the 2425W is excellent and not that much bigger or heavier. However if I am going to get a 15.4" then I would want to justify it by getting the higher resolution screen.
