    Hi,
    I have a problem with installing xp on my znote 6615wd.after the initial setup screen when formatting the data hard drive and copying windows files to disk the laptop reboots to continue setup after the reboot the laptop screen stays black but the HD activity led continues to flash and the cd continues to operate.why I'd this happening ?.

    Your problem may be that XP SP3 may not have built-in support for SATA. The best approach is to use nlite to insert all your Zepto drivers into the Windows XP installer. You can also add in the various other updates for XP that have been issued since SP3 so that there is less to update after installation.

    i have already slipstreamed the sata drivers, otherwise it would just bluescreen.

    Have you tried to connect an external display to the VGA? Perhaps there's a problem with the driver during installation and it works with a separate display.
