    Hi,

has anyone ever tested the built-in tv card of the 6615WD?

Is any tv software shipped with the notebook? How can one record tv data (MPEG2? plain AVI?) What about receiving quality indoors? Does Zepto ship an antenna? Is videotex beeing supported? And finally: Am I the only one in times of internet watching tv?

In Germany first it was built in (spring / early summer), now it's an option in the buyers config. The German Zepto site doesn't have 3 basic configs from which to start on with the configuration but you have to built it from scratch. You had the choice to pick between an analogue tv card model and a hybrid model (which supported analogue tv as well as digital dvb-t). One of them was only for use with the Microsoft Entertainment Something edition of Windows...

Note on the tv tuner.. On the danish site, you can only get it with the Mediacenter ed, of windows.. WTF?
Who would choose Windows MCE? I would have loved a tv tuner in mine, but im not willing to part with my Win xp Pro. :))

Just wanted to vent that. It sucks, and i dont understand why you have to have Win MCE to use a tv tuner. But then again, i never bothered asking, sooo...

    Anyways, have a nice weekend.

..."Mediacenter Edition" - that was it... I knew it started with "m" and it wasn't worth to remember...

AFAIK Zepto is testing a new hybrid tv tuner card for use with the Znote 6615WD and "normal" Windows. But as the delivery of my 6615WD is delayed and delayed (and delayed and delayed) it doesn't hurry that much...
