You shure it booted from the CD? You should see a screen that shows the process. (=dont boot into windows)

Unless you have the boot order set to boot from CD first, press F10 a few times during the Zepto splash screen to select the CD as the boot device.
You will then see a progress screen as the BIOS update loads and runs.

Thanks, it is installed now.
I started a fresh:
Used: ImgBurn to burn 6625_z15N011.iso to a DVD.
Used:
6. When the Zepto logo shows press F10 repeatedly to enter the bootmenu.
7. Select IDE: CD from the list.
from Zeto file "Update_BIOS_6xx4-6xx5_EN.pdf"
Incidently in the zepto process "requires AC adapter pluggd in (otherwise there could be a fatal motherboard error).
It worked! I thought I did this last time except it was a CD not a DVD. -

Any optical disk will do - CD or DVD - since the files only need about 3MB of space. It's a matter of whatever disk comes to hand (I keep a rewriteable CD for tasks such as this).

is it possible to use usb to boot ? seems like an awful waste of cdr/dvdrs....

I think its possible to boot from USB, but you need some software to convert the .iso to a bootable folder or something on the USB stick

Hi there!
I have been following this topic quite well since it opened, i have updated from 8 to 11 without having any bigger probbs but as alot pointed out, the lack of better fan control and the possebilety of an new bios with better one, even with the possebilety to set limits.
Were has it gone no news what so ever on any new bios for the 6625.
The only "issue" i have noticed is the rather high idle working load of the cpu.
Got a requests of my own.. how about a temp info in the bios, in my opinion that is the right place for it.
/Zepto fan. -
I currently have version 11 of the bios and the fan is only loud for a short time just when starting the machine. As soon as windows loads, the fan turns quiet. It is always on, but quite (my old Laptop is a Dell Inspiron 6000, so for me, that is quite. that dell was sometimes louder than a hairdryer).
And the temperature (read with RmClock) is always around 36°, at least what the sensors tell me.
When doing an exhaustive render with Blender3D, the temperature almost never goes above 55° and the fans stay silent. There is pretty hot air coming out of the fan outlet, but otherwise there doesn't seem to be any problems.
I almost fear that something is wrong, almost everything looks good (But otherwise than older AMDs, I have heard that the Intel CPUs rather step down instead of burning to death)
btw. I use a current 6625WD with almost max. configuration (the 2.5 GHZ T9300, Wolfdale rev. C0) I just really wanted a penryn
I also hope for a new BIOS that would also turn the fans really OFF inbetween. 35-36° CPU temperature maybe nice, but an even more silent notebook with about 50° CPU temperature is even nicer in my opinion.
