The new models of ours work with Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) out of the box, except the sound, that needs a bit of tweaking.

the tweaking you are refering to is adding 'options snd-hda-intel model=toshiba' into /modprobe.d/alsa.base without the ' ' correct?

That, and using the latest CVS driver from alsa.

The only things i still need support for on my 3425 is the webcam (i know whats wrong, but i haven't fixed it yet), the turbo memory card (we have to wait for Intel for something...) and some of the powermanagement stuff (can't suspend to disk). Otherwise it's flawless. I'm using Debian, BTW.

I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 on my 6224W and it works pretty good. The only hazzle was installing the sound. I first installed 7.04 but i had some trouble installing the wireless N card so i tried with 7.10 instead and that worked just great. Haven't tried to install the Bluetooth yes thou.

I'm running Arch 64-bit on my 6024W. Everything works fine, the only thing that didn't work right away was the soundcard, but it wasn't too hard to get it running. The only thing that doesn't work right now is two finger scrolling. Has anyone gotten it to work with the synaptics driver? It works, but if I turn it on it scrolls by itself sometimes.

Also, does anyone have any experince with Zeptos wireless card and Ubuntu? My sister bought a 3215W since Zepto had a sale on them here in Sweden, but it hasn't arrived yet. But she took the Zepto card since it was soo much cheaper than the Intel card. It seems like it should work with the svn-version of madwifi, but if anyone have any tips I'll gladly listen.

well the choice of the zepto card might be good might not be but otherwise there are not any big problems the soundcard thing and you have to use the unstable to get X and proper intel drivers for it
since i have the intel card my performance is up and down the drivers i was using first worked great but the updated versions works for about 5mins per start before dying so the zepto card might be better from that perspective
