Hi I am interested in purchasing a Zepto notebook. I live in India and wanted to know if Zepto is available in Dubai or in any other place in and around India.

No bhai they aren't available in Dubai. If you know someone in Australia, perhaps you could ask them to ship it. Or I think you can get one from the main site. Which one were you looking at anyways?

Yeah, they might ship it to you if you order from the Global site, though of course you'll have to pay shipping and customs and such.

I am looking to buy the ZNote 6224W. Can someone tell me how much it will cost for shipping to India, Customs duty and the time it will take? I have not done this before.

    Thank you in advance.

On the technical side, I work a lot on the move and am also a gaming freak, so I would like to know what are the benefits of the Solid State HDD option and is it really worth the additional Euros?

You would be best off contacting Zepto directly about how they would ship it.

Right now, a solid state drive doesn't give enough performance gain over a 7200 RPM drive to be worth it, and in gaming the HDD doesn't matter that much anyhow. I'd say a hybrid drive might be worth it, though.

Wrong! A Hybrid HD only has some benefits when you are working a lot with Word/ Excel and that kind of stuff! Because it has a flash-memory it can save some working-files to it, so it don't have to spin so much!

So how is that wrong? It also has benefits in general read/write times of any type of small file, as well as generally improving loading times from the page file in Vista. You seem to agree with me, in that it allows the drive to spin less. That means it will produce less heat and use less power. It's a good compromise between expensive, small SSD and a regular 2.5" SATA drive.

Thanks for the tip guys. I am going with the 100GB 7200rpm drive. I was wondering if there will be any benefits in using SSD wrt to battery life.
