What is this? looks like the IFL90 with with a X3000? Didnt know there was such a thing. Any chance you will be adding the white 6224W (6324W??) anytime soon?

The 8600M GT is about 6 times faster. It is not really worth comparing. The X3100 is not for gaming or only for playing games 3 years or older. The 8600M GT can play current games and futuer games.

Ofcourse the X3100 will use alot less battery.

I really wish there was an option for a higher resolution screen on that model :)
That would seriously make me rethink which model to get.

I completely agree, I dont plan on game at all but want high res screen. Is it as simple as switching screen (it should be) or doesnt the onboard gfx support that high resolutions?

I believe other Notebook suppliers using that particular Compal model are also doing a 1680x1050 screen option as well as the 1280x800 version.

My mistake; 1680x1050, I was just searching for the link to where I'd seen it as you posted!

    Thanks Wave; are you well?
