Does anyone have any experience with sending in their laptop to Zepto for repair service? How long did it take for them to fix your error (minus transportation time, unless you live in Sweden)?

I am asking because after talking to the Zepto service department over email they have asked me to send in my laptop for repair. The memory stick is damaged and the laptop has heat issues (GPU runs up to 110 degrees when gaming which according to Zepto is apparently way too hot). But the problem is I have already, prior to finding out about this, bought and paid for a ticket to Dreamhack Summer. It's a LAN gathering in Sweden, and the ticket together with travel cost (also already paid for) cost almost 1500 SEK.

Dreamhack starts June 14th, and I can't send in my laptop for repair until earliest at the beginning of June since I am dependent on it for studies. The guy at Zepto said repairs may take up to 15 days (excluding weekends) and they cannot promise that it will be repaired any faster. So have any of you sent in your laptop for repair and if so did it take the full 15 days?

I've already read some of the threads here of people sending in their laptops to zepto multiple times with no results, but I'm hoping there is someone lurking here with more positive experience to give me some hope :(.

If I were you, I would sent it either to Compal or to Inventect directly. (Depending on the model you bought). As this is what Zepto does with faulty hardware. If you are shure, thats only an improper installed heatsink, they'll probably "repair" it themselves.

Are you sure, that the GPU is really 110°C? Or is it 110°F(43,33°C)? Check it by touching under your laptop. Such a high temperatur must result in a high case temperature, too.

What do you mean when you say "memory stick is damaged"? If it's the ram, you can sent only the ram to zepto, and ask them to send working one back.

We do not send the whole machine to Compal/Inventec, we only send the faulty parts we take out of the machine for exchange at the ODM's.

Yeah I've read it, maybe I should start my own thread when I do send in the computer and you can all see how it goes.
