no but, if i can find a good deal now, il buy now.
i bought a m1530 and returned it, to wait for centrino 2 and zepto already have it. -
Dell is slow like hell, I've waited for them to announce anything for two months now.. I guess they won't announce or put anything on their site, until the day they are ready to ship. That way, they can avoid all the trouble Zepto and other retailers had.

Check out the Latitude E series.

I have never had a Dell but many friends of mine have. The main issue with Dell is customer service. A friend of mine had his Dell sent in for repairs due to a defective motherboard (this only after a year of use). They promoised him that the laptop would be ready ina few days but ended up waiting weeks. After two weeks Dell phoned him telling him it was ready. He picked it up and well it did not switch on. A couple of hours later it was back to the Dell s ustomer service, and a few days later they notified him that he had to wait since the technicians at Dell did not install the motherboard correctly.
I am aware that Zepto custumer service is not great yet still the Dell (Europe ) customer service is no better. I also believe that the Dells in Europe are a bit overpriced, you pay too much for the tag.
Hope this helps -

If considering getting Dell then opt for the next business day on site service.
I've moved from a Zepto 6024W to the Dell Latitude E6400 and there's no comparison, except the weight is almost the same. The big gain is that whereas the 6024W struggled to reach 3 hours on battery, the E6400 can just about reach six. And the E6400's keyboard is a pleasure to use compared to the Zepto keyboard.
I've yet to test the current quality of the Dell on site service, but previously it worked fine.

In what sens is the Zepto no comparision with the Dell , could you be more clear ?

The Dell gives much better battery life, has a vastly superior keyboard, it feels better built, and most important, feels as if it has been better developed. I don't keep tripping over BIOS bugs. While the new Zepto models are not made by Inventec, there still seem to be issues with fan operation.
And if my Dell has a problem then should send someone round on the next working day to fix it (at least if I am at home). With Zepto the computer was gone for a month. Zepto got my business last year because they could deliver within a week whereas Dell couldn't.
I must admit, however, that while my Zepto 6024W's audio was not good, it is a lot better than what Dell have put in the E6400.

dell service is not bad, come on.
If you want bad service other manufacturers give it to you. With Dell you may have to wait an hour on the phone on hold, but when you get somebody, your problem gts fixed and a guy comes to your house and fixes your laptop/desktop, as long as you can certify on the phone that their is a problem. With other companies, * cough voodoo* you had to ship your entire system back to Canada, which costs you money, and than you have to pay a $75 fee for examination and than you have to pay the hours someone is working on it. Their warranty only covers the cost of the part, not service or repair or shipping. The end result, you have to pay sometimes between $200-500 with shipping, insurance and such just to get repair and it may take 3-weeks or more, whereas with dell you spend a few hours on the phone, and within 2-3 days the problem is fixed.
