Hi, I have been using my znote 3415W for some time now and found that it "may" have a big problem. And as I don't know if something is broke, I have to ask you if you have seen the problem.
First, I have installed Oblivion and Unreal Tournament 3 on the computer. They may be graphic killers but the znote put´s up a good fight.![]()
So lets say I play oblivion, it works great and the frame rate is smooth. I use an extra cooler for the computer so it wont build up heat when gaming. But the problem comes up, after around 3 to 5 min of Oblivion gaming. The computer disconnects from the ac adapter and you have to take out the power cable from the computer and insert it again so that the battery can charge. Then you will have around 2 more min of gaming before it happens again.
I notice that the "extra time" you will gain depends on how much graphic/processor intense the game is.
Summary: Extreme gaming 4min -> ac adapter stop charging the battery -> computer use battery -> computer will not find ac adapter-> unplug and plugging in ac adapter -> battery charge.
But when I played Unreal Tournament 3 for a short wile, that ac adapter did its best to make failures. It produced a loot of heat and made the computers screen flicker on and of power save mode, (and I had turned that function of). This problem don't stop when I exit the game and the screen will go on and of powersave until the battery is almost full charged. Then it stops after the battery is almost full charged and everything works as normal. (This problem didn't stop when I changed the graphic drivers to older/new ones.)![]()
The ac adapter builds up a loot of heat and sound when charging... and I don't see anything wrong in that. And the cable seem to be working so there are no electric failures.![]()
My electric power configuration for the computer:
19V original LITE-ON adapter
6cells battery
Sorry for my poor English and thanks for reading.![]()

Well I dont have these problems (nor have I tested any REAL graphics killer) but my AC Adapter is like 50C all the time (Once it has warm up)

The charger becomes quite hot and should be kept cool.
The lifetime of the capacitors inside are highly dependant on low temperature.
If the charger gets to hot the electrical characteristics of the components inside will be influenced. This may lead to unclean voltage, which could disturb the image and more on the laptop, or other strange phenomena.
