Hi!
I recently bought the znote 3415W. Its great but this computer do come with some unexpected surprises... Therefore I would like to ask some questions to you who knows the computer.![]()
First, it performs nice with the lastest nvidia drivers from zepto, but it do have bad performans in DX10 programs. Sometimes it hangs or bugg out as you may know. What release of drivers do you use on your zepto computer with Geforce 8600M GT from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com?![]()
Second, as I understand, zepto wont make any more drivers for the computer until NVIDIA releases a new stabel release. What I dont understand is whats so special with the nvidia geforce 8600M GT that it needs special made drivers. Did they do something with the grafik card so it needs "special service"...![]()
Third, its not a question, but I must say: a big thanks to zepto, this computer is awesome in gaming!![]()
I saw some outher treats here about installing geforce drivers, but I wanted to sum it up for the znote 3415W.
Sorry for my english and thanks for help!

Just get one from 169.xx series, doesn't matter which one. They all perform much better than the outdated drivers on Zepto's ftp

"Special made drivers" what are you talking about? The drivers suit all cards, all the way back to FX-5000-series -

n0elia, the drivers we have on the FTP are not outdated, it is actually the latest released drivers for the mobile cards which we have recieved so far. The mobile cards run on another numbered line of drivers than the desktop cards this is why there is all this confusion about driver version numbers.
The ODM's normally tailor make the drivers for their line of machines before releasing a new driver. It is the same thing on our machines, that is why we are not at the moment just releasing drivers that have been modded from for example laptopvideo2go.com.
There have just been released a new WQHL certified driver for the mobile cards last week (156.87 for all operating systems) which we have not officially received from Nvidia yet, and I'm contacting our Quality and Production controller about this when we get back from christmas holidays on the 2nd of january. As a notebook manufacturer you need to test the drivers before releasing them as the support can be overfloded with calls if a driver is released that does not work and makes more damage than good.
EDIT: also as a notebook manufacturer you can't just release beta drivers which practically most of the drivers from laptopvideo2go are. We have to wait for WHQL certified drivers before we can release them. -
latest WHQL drivers are according to ltv2g XP: 163.75 Vista (32&64): 167.43
your drivers are 153.xx -
Can I very quickly hijack this thread to ask if the 3415w supports firewire 800 or not? I can't seem to find it anywhere..
