    Hello Guys,

I bought a sharp actius al 27 refurbished one from ubid.com yesterday.
it is stylish i like it.
but whever i open windows after 5 mins cooling fan start working...
and never stops as long as windows is on. i measured temprature it is around 35-36 centigrade...i think this is very good temperature for amd mobile athlon...

i called sharped but said this is quite natural everything is build inside cpu so no problem..

but i am still worried about motherboard.

you have such a problem in your laptop...did you measure temperature ever?
    should i return laptop?

Yeah mine does that too. Depending on my location, the fan will either be on for the entire duration, or cut off every now and then. Be aware though about the battery problem that most al27 users are expieriencing. So far my al27 can't even hold an hour charge, yet along 30 min charge. Very disapointing... :(

same disturbing noise with mine, don't even see what's the point of cool'n'quiet technology. have tried this utility to undervolt it to 0.8V - stays cool but not quiet :( :( :( no advantage of it and really starting to hate it :( :( :(

Nice laptop if plugged in, otherwise I am sorry I ever bought this piece of crap. Batter life when the batter was new and conditioned was 2 hours max. Now, a year later battery is trash and they only seem to be available from Sharp for $249. Might as well buy a new laptop. I'd avoid this laptop like the plague. There are plenty of other ones available from other brands that are better values. Mine is now a desktop replacement, going to the kids.
