-
i dont see any pics there though minus the bottom plates??
-
yeah, i got tired of looking..lol sorry Z
follow hooper1125 and you will have your answer.
or just ask E, he may just snap a few real quick. -
lol thanks for trying. i was banned over at gog so i cant go there.. ill see hopefully if someone will post some for me. i was considering the 8660 but it says on sager web site its 1.9" at the rear?? thats huge for a 15" notebook it doesnt make the ocz seem so bad
-
found some great pics.. its almost the same size as the 5793/6 is?? why is everyone saying this is so huge?? its way smaller than the 9262?
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
have you got a link to those pics as i want to see how much the difference is between it and my 9262, thanx
-
not sure if im supposed to post from gog here but here's where the pics are.. if im not then please remove the link or tell me and ill remove it. http://www.guruofgaming.com/modules...pic&t=2202&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=270

You're straight man.. As long as it's not pr0n
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
so its a bit smaller then the 9262, shame i was hoping it was going to be smaller
-
Well, gotta consider.. you've gotta have room for 2 GPUs in here.. And 2 HDDs.. And then gotta make sure there's ample cooling for the extreme CPUs and the Crossfire setup. It's really not that big, in my opinion. I had the Gateway 7811FX, and it isn't much a size difference. The OCZ is prolly half an inch thicker.. maybe 3/4" thicker. But, once you're considering a 17" rig - You should already expect it to not be as portable as a 15", and this truly is a desktop replacement with moderate portability. I can still fit it in my Swiss Army Notebook Backpack
....it doesn't zip all the way closed, but only a corner sticks out
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
yeah i guess ya right
-
according to the dimensions listed it almost 3/4" or more shorter than the 9262... imo thats a lot
-
I consider a foot to be a long unit of measurement. I consider a mile to be long. I consider a laptop to be small, regardless of its bulk if it's a 17" or less monitor.

-
12.7-19.05 is 1/2 to 3/4 in mm's a good amount imo
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
so about 1.5cm?
i guess thats okay, so its about the size of 9262 without the lid? -
pretty much.. have you seen the 570tu? from the pics its even a bit shorter at the back than that is...man im torn here. i really want to get the ocz as i have wanted it for some time. but i told myself if i sold the dell i was not getting another HUGE laptop i told myself i was getting a 15" max.. but i just dont know if ill be happy with a 15" again.. i think ill miss the extra screen an i love the number pad since i do a lot of addition for my receipts at work..
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
yeah the screen size for me has to be 17inch
-
i know thast overall i didnt mind the size of the 570ru to much and the ocz looks to be about the same size as that or maybe a tiny bit bigger at the front. i have everything sitting here to build one so its killing me to spend almost 1100$ on the 15" sager when this is only like 300$ more..
-
YO Z, Why so much interest U buying a white book and if so from who? if you don't mind me asking.
-
im considering it. not sure from who yet.. if its comes to barebones i guess it will depend a lot on price
-
barebones would probably be rjtech... almost all of theirs are barebones. i built this one with their shell.
just not sure what kind of bios you would get out of them.. -
I picked up mine at XoticPC not arrived yet just bought last Monday and get it this week. I did like their customer support plus they are offering a cool 3 yr full warranty on this system.
-
for the barbones there is cheaper than xotic. i like xotic dont get me wrong but with the barebones you get the same warr no matter who you buy from
-
Bummer.. then I got jacked.. J/K.
-
you bought barebones?? or the xotic pc version complete? if you bought the barebones and build it yourself its not 3yrs its only 1yr from xotic as well as everyone else
-
I know, I got the Xotic prebuild and then added some. Then I'll do some upgrades of my own.
-
yeah see for you it was worth it to buy from them for the 3 year warranty
-
Are you gonna migrate some parts from your previous system?
-
no i have all new stuff sitting here hanging around lol..
-
Heh.. The art of Sarcasm.. Or are you for reals with all them new goodies?
-
no for real. i have a x9100, t9800, 4 500gb wd blue drives 8gb worth of ddr3 ram (2gb sticks), intel 5300 cards etc...
-
z, you got 1333 ddr3? I'll buy
-
lol i have a set but im hanging on to them. for what i paid im not selling them..got 4gb for 60$
-
really? where?! black market eh? Hook a brutha up
-
lol i have places.. that was a one shot deal take it or leave it so i took it like everything else i have sitting here. my t9800 qs was 260$..i own a repair business..i come across stuff from the vendors at times and ill grab it
-
not shabby at all.. Guess that truck driver never saw it comin' eh? thank god for crowbars. Sooo...any laptop HDDs you wanna off?
-
lol.. nothing like that.. what are you looking for in hdd's? i got my wd blue 500gb drives for 77$ shipped it was cheaper to buy em off ebay with the 30% then to buy from my vendor lol. im using all of those but i can for sure see what i have laying around. im sure i have more than a few here. i hunt down deals all the time when i find em i loose control and buy to much stuff..
-
Yea man. hook us up.. give us some good stuff at the right price and keep us coming back for more. I hope I could get deals like that.. heheh. any HDD's I can help take off your hands.
-
Maybe we can help you by buying some stuff off you.
-
ill check tomm and see if there are any specials now i can buy bulk of. i know i bought a case of 250gb seagates they were moving out last month (i sold em all though sorry) for like under 30$ a piece.. i get a lot of stuff from china they come fully sealed and in the original packages and they are legit it just depends what they have at the time. i bought 4 t9800's and sold three im keeping one right now unless i can get another x9100 to replace it which im gonna check on tomm
-
Tomm, so that's the code name of your organization .. hehehe JK
, you are getting laptop stuff right? I don't want a desktop HDD.
-
lol yeah. notebook drives. yeah i get desktop stuff to. i have to wait till tomm because i have to email my contacts in china to see what they have for me. i sometimes cant believe how cheap they can sell stuff to me for. and its all brand name stuff to. heck last time i did an order for intel 5300 cards they were like 17 or 18$ i think!! im not sure how they get it but i dont ever complain. i build systems and do repair locally.
-
-
... How much do you charge to ship to Mexico? hehehe I might be interested on getting some stuff.. mainly 1 or 2 500 Gb HDD and More RAM DDR3 1333. and maybe some other goodies.. yay.
-
lol i buy qs samples for my own use. they are exactly the same as retail even the same stepping, show chip id and temps etc.. i save a huge amount on them. my t9800's are all qs samples. they differ from what you would call a es sample because they are final release versions and they are identical to a retail chip as i said same stepping and all they just say "es" under the chip name
-
-
I got lost on the CPU talk. hehe.. need to keep up with technology. I dont care if it has a hello kitty under the Processor I want power and I want it cheap...
J/K hehehe.
Wait you need to be a vendor to be able to post prices? bummer
Edit.. sure let me know about the HDD trough PM.
Edit 2- I think we just took this post way off topic.
any revews of the whitebook with comparison pics
