i like the specs, and the screen looks really good.
when viewed at an angle, it still looks clearer and brighter than the other glossies beside it, even against the acer ferrari.
google searches returns lots of "batteries for your mitac/mitec laptop"
anyone of you have any experience with this brand?

Mitac is the name. Don't know much about them, but the Compal CL56 and Mitac 8050 were once incredibly popular notebooks (I think one was widescreen and the other wasn't) about 12-18 months ago.

what can you say about the mitac brand? recommendend? reliable? the screen rocks!
although ive noticed that if you press on it it blurs, but i guess all lcds behave that way (except for this thinkpad im typing on) -
I have heard it but it was a long time ago. Mitac was the first notebook manufacturer who used Pentium 4(1.5GHz)in notebook at that time..I forget..cmiiw
I think the quality is subpar, Acer is better though Acer build quality isnt good as well -
whats the problem? it overheats? falls apart when you breathe hard on it?
anyone heard of "mitac" or "mitec?"
