just curious.. i know im sure id love the q9300 but now have a customer that wants mine and i cant find a killer deal on another one right now but can get a good amount for this one that makes it kinda worth me selling and i also have a x9100 sitting here (and i'm sure id swap it later to something better anyway lol so...) but what kinda of scores are one vs the other getting on this notebook (arghh still getting used to e split ms keyboard)

X9100 should be around 14-15k
And Q9300 around 13200-13500
Great Spelling btw -
3d06
X9100 non-OC'd = 13.9k
QX9300 non-OC-d = 14.2k
Vantage:
X9100 non-OC'd = P7000ish
QX9300 non-OC'd = ?
Depending on the game, the differences between them in in game performance can be anywhere from 1-10% with either possibly having an advantage over the other (example: X9100 may perform better than the QX9300 in a game like Call of Juarez due to it's higher stock clock speed and CoJ not being multi-core optimized, while games like SupCom and Lost Planet would perform better on the QX9300 because of multi-core optimization. -
yeah sorry about the spelling i have to try to get used to that split microsoft keyboard. i realized after i re read it it was crazy spelling..lol.. im not liking that split keyboard thing. im on the wife's laptop now and as you can see its much better...
-
sure...right....gotcha zfacter...you sure the wife wasn't intervening maybe.... lol
-
lol nah wasnt that lucky at that time.. i just have issues with this split style keyboard thank you
fixed... -
lol. yeah...me too...that's why i don't have one.
-
you hardware impaired people.. hehehe
-
imtrnon the two now.. sll my onlyqx9300 i have ( i got a great deal on and make almost 400$) an use the x9100 i have here or keep it and use it instead of the quad core..
has here been anyreal world tests to show the differences in these.. -
if you use the dual core over the quad core...i will not be able to call you. "master snake" anymore...lol once these systems start to really shape up..the qx will be up in the clouds in terms of pricing. and you can only go so far with the dual core.
-
yeah i know im telling myself that but then im telling myself an extra 400$ also.. lol
-
and extra 400 now, but twice as much when you really need or want it. and you have an oem now right? or es?
-
its a es qs sample so its the final stepping.. but my x9100 is a oem non es chip.. i may sell it anyway and use the 9100 till i can score another 9300.. not sure yet
-
I had the same dilemma and ended up buying the Qx9300 as it seems to OC as high as the x9100 even though its native clock speed is lower. My reasoning was it's like having two x9100s on one die for about 25% more in terms of overall cost. I am still debating whether to wait for the new ATI GPU for this rig or get the new Clevo M98 U when it becomes available.

i may have found another 9300 im waiting for him to let me know

wow huge difference?? i really didnt think there would be that big of a difference in 3dmark from the 9100 to the 9300 thats like 2000+ .... i mean are these average results.. wow
sucks though the cheapest oem 9300 i can find is 860$ arghhhhi had to sell the one i had because i kinda promised it to the customer and they really wanted it..
averag score with xfrire with x9100 vs qx9300
