This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I may have not been clear in my last post, but my problems have been with CDs not DVDs. I haven't burn a lot of DVDs yet, mostly music CDs. The DVDs I have burn are mostly DVD-R for compatible as mentioned by Radcomm..

    I generally use MusicMatch, or Jet Audio for burning music CDs. For writing general puter files I use Roxio's Easy CD Creator. I also have Nero 6.6.

    I did call Averatec and they want $15 bucks for the 3 image CDs. I went ahead and ordered them just in case I can't use my originals.

    I just bought my 6130 and have been having some video problems.
    when i use the interactual DVD player the machine will freeze and i have to do a hard reboot to get out of it. Also, when playing several games my machine freezes within 3 minutes of starting. any ideas on what's happening?

    the problem is the OpenGL drivers, go to www.omegadrivers.net and download the new ATi drivers for the videocard.

    i installed them an all games run perfectly, doom3 @ 50-60 FPS constantly properly tuned
