i just bought an av4265 from staples for 799 (after rebates before tax, of course)

2 problems with it so far

1 annoying dead pixel (i believe it's green in color) on the lcd. i tried massagging it, and playing some flashing videos but it's still there.

i also tried playing diablo 2: LOD (single player) on it but even on the lowest graphics setting, the game lags like crazy.

anyone know what's going on? I'm thinking about returning this averatec for a lcd replacement. I've a friend with an av3200 series - the one with athlon xp-m and unichrome IGP and it plays diablo 2 just fine. I think intel's GMA 900 is better that unichrome, but am i wrong? Is there any way i can buy a good pci express graphics card for laptop and pop it into this averatec?

Some questions here might be stupid but i'm a noob. Thanks in advance for any replies! :)

    have a good one

You can't upgrade the GPU, and yes, the GAM 900 is pretty bad. I'd take it back and consider getting an HP with the M200 integrated card, it's significantly better and you can probably come out at the same price.
